After reading the comic Concrete Park I had some inspiration to try an AW hack based off both that and my favourite open world crime game: Saint's Row 2. The PCs being underworld movers & shakers in a contemporary to sci-fi-ish city.

I'll lose the Psychic Maelstrom, but keep Weird as a character's ability to tap into, read and/or manipulate the threads of fate. I'm also looking to keep the basic (& a couple limited) Playbooks, as I find them both structurally evocative & pretty much what I want for PCs. I want to rename them though, & give a more "made for this specific game" descriptors for them.

My working names are:
Angel : Barber
Battlebabe : Killa' Bee
Brainer : the Evil Eye
Chopper : the Bozu
Driver : Solo (like Han)
Hardholder : El Rey
Hocus : Oracle
Maestro D' : Rick (as in, "Rick's Place")

I'm thinking of using Celebrity for the Skinner, but just doesn't feel like it has the right either "pop!" or reference. And using the Faceless and naming them the Lucha.

Otherwise I cannot figure what to call the Gunlugger ("Professional" feels too on the nose), the Operator (who should probably stay the same, but I'm just not sure), and the Savvyhead (I can't think of a cool name for "Mechanic").

Any thoughts are appreciated.

I've never played any of the Saint's Row video games or equivalents, but I'd guess AW would be a good match for it. The fact that it is a video game with its own mechanics can be helpful too, though I imagine you'll need to simplify or adjust them to fit the AW scheme of things.

For the Savvyhead, how about "Ratchet" or "Wrench" ?

For the Gunlugger, how about "Ace" or "Hitter" ?

And if we're keeping with a gang/crime theme, for the Operator, I like "Shot Caller."
